Where business and education interlock.

The UK's conduit between business and the education sector. We help companies meet their CSR, ESG and social value responsibilities by partnering with, sponsoring and donating to local schools — and help schools raise funds for the projects and experiences every child deserves.

Why we exist

Cost is quietly shutting children out.

Across the country, the price of a school trip or a residential decides which children get to take part — and which stay behind. These are the figures driving the Alliance.

52%

of children have intentionally not told a parent about an upcoming trip, to avoid the financial burden on their family.

The Independent, 2022
1 in 3

parents would be concerned if their child came home with a letter for a trip — cost being the main worry.

Hyundai 2022, via The Independent
15%

of parents were unable to let their child take part in a trip or visit in the past year, purely due to cost.

NASUWT, 2018
£16,507

average cost of sending a child to school (Years 1–11) in the North West — the highest outside London.

For Schools

Fund the experiences that matter.

We bring vetted local businesses to your door, so no child misses out on a trip, a residential or an enrichment opportunity because of cost.

  • Funding directed to extra-curricular experiences and breaking down financial barriers.
  • Carefully matched, due-diligence-checked business partners from your own community.
  • Ongoing logistical, admin and marketing support — the BEA handles the heavy lifting.
  • A meet-and-greet with each partner and a full monitoring & evaluation report.

In their words

What partners say.

“The BEA made it effortless. We sponsored a local primary and saw exactly where our support went — our team has never felt prouder.”— Owner, local construction firm
“Funding for a residential that every child could go on. For some of our pupils it was the first time away from home. Priceless.”— Headteacher, Greater Manchester
“Hosting a Year 10 student for work experience brought real energy into the office — and we’ve since taken one on as an apprentice.”— Director, professional services

A new institution

Introducing the Business & Teacher Association.

Charities have patrons. Every school has a PTA — a Parent Teacher Association. So why is there nothing that gives business and education the same formal, ongoing relationship?

The BTA is that missing link: a recognised association that sits a local business alongside a local school, just as a PTA sits parents alongside teachers — with shared purpose, shared events, and a shared commitment to children and young people.

The established model

Patrons

A charity gains a patron — a supporter who lends their name, reach and resources to a cause they believe in, year after year.

The established model

The PTA

A school's Parent Teacher Association unites parents and staff to raise funds and strengthen the community around the children.

The Alliance model

The BTA

The Business & Teacher Association does the same for business and education — a lasting, structured partnership built around the child.

Who we are

Our mission, vision & values.

We exist to bridge the gap between business and education — reshaping the traditional ways the two sectors engage, to enhance the educational journey for all children.

Our vision

A community both sectors are proud of.

To create a community in which businesses and schools are proud to affiliate and work with one another — for the benefit of both parties, but most importantly for children and young people.

Our mission

Relationships that change journeys.

To foster relationships between businesses and schools, providing enhanced extra-curricular opportunities for children and young people — connecting forward-thinking, value-driven local businesses with the schools in their communities.

Disruptive

We disruptively redefine the traditional relationships between the education and business sectors.

Collaboration

Collaboration is at the forefront of our mission and vision — without it, there can be no transformative impact.

Child centred

Through our child-centred approach, the young person remains at the core of every decision we make and every action we take.

“School trips should provide some of the most exciting and memorable times for our young people — something every child should have access to.
